Greeble is an ongoing project that I am probably never going to finish tinkering with. The files on this page are for version 3 of the project, which I was making in Unity3D back in 2022. The first version I started back in 2016, and the second "attempt" was in 2019.

I may upload version 4 (my most successful iteration) in the future after I do a total rewrite for version 5 (coming up probably late 2026 or early 2027).

WARNING! UNTESTED ON MOST HARDWARE!

You may experience terrible fps, memory errors, etc. while trying to run this. Though I am pretty sure it will work "fine" on most gaming computers. 

For comparison the specs for my dev machine are:

• AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
• 24GB RAM

Also, in this version I used GenAI to generate many of the textures. If that turns you off from this project, then I don't blame you. Remember this was made in 2022, and I was pretty excited about using tools that could remix textures I had sourced myself. I wanted to generate near-infinite configurations of my own drawings (many of which are on my Artstation account. If I could I would re-open the Unity Project and swap them out with the newer images I created for Greeble4. Alas, I cannot. I do not intend to use GenAI for any current or future projects.

There are two different versions of the game. Version 0.0.2 is the version pictured in the video above.

Version 0.0.5 showcases a much larger world using pretty much the same assets.
